Turn-Key Vignale: 1961 Triumph Italia 2000 Coupe
This 1961 Triumph
Italia 2000 Coupe (VIN # TS76287LC0) is listed as having been registered in
2006, and the seller indicates that all documentation on the work performed is
available, as well as full ownership history from new. This is the first one
webve seen in a while that isnbt in project form, and we love the finished
lines. Our friends at British Sports Cars in San Luis Obispo, Ca are currently
documenting their second Italia restoration here, which can serve as a good
resource. The listing of this car in the Triumph Italia Registry matches this
one as #197 of the 329 that were produced, and might provide a contact channel
for the restorer. Find this one here on Hemmings in Orlando, Florida for $95k.

After a
full four months, the bSan Remo Proven: 1975 Lancia Fulvia Group 4 Rally
Carb has finally found its way from the UK to Mexico City. Despite a smooth
and friendly sale process thanks to Jamie at Targa Florio Classics, a few
obstacles delayed matters: export paperwork, Christmas holidays, UK winter
storms delaying the ship, the shipping line losing the export paperwork,
getting new export paperwork, Mexican Customs taking their time to clear the
car, etc. But all was forgotten when this past Friday, I took the Fulvia out
on its maiden voyage on a twisty road in the hills to the west of Mexico City.
Although the carbs are still out of tune because of the change in altitude,
the engine is very smooth at idle and revs quickly and freely to the redline.
The handling is superbly neutral and the suspension is firm but not harsh, a
must for a long and bumpy race like La Carrera Panamericana. The body and the
build in general are very solid.
The car is going into the shop tomorrow and
will undergo some minor modifications focused onb&b
