A dual system only helps if the failure is after the M/C.... In my experience, it doesn't help there either. I've had wheel cylinder fail and the result was ZERO pedal. I still don't understand what the dual cylinder is supposed to do for me. The only way I know to prevent a total failure is to keep the front and rear circuits completely separate using two master cylinders.
