one of my race roadsters has a BRE prepared engine which has what they called "1 1/2 bbl carbs" which were ported out from the slide under the dome to the outer face of the carb in such a manner that they basically had an internal velocity stack- they ported them out almost to the bolt holes for the air cleaner... flowed darn close to as much air as Solexes but didn't have to go to C Production as the Solex cars were required to do, could still run D Production. doesn't seem it would be that difficult of a modification...the other race roadster was in the National runoffs 3x and according to the guy who used to race it was the lightest race 2000 Bob Sharp ever weighed in including the "salt damaged" cars (lightweights)... they're "available" if anyone's looking for such... ;-) Craig Datsun Roadsters mostly... http://community.webshots.com/user/672000 ________________________________________ Support Team.Net http://www.team.net/donate.html Datsun-roadsters mailing list http://www.team.net/archive http://autox.team.net/mailman/listinfo/datsun-roadsters |
