hi everyone
i've been soaking (with liberal applications of PB Blaster) the studs holding
on the thermostat housing to my aluminum R16 head for over a month. and it
still won't budge. i've tried some manual persuasion of the hammering variety,
to no avail. should i add a little heat?

Sun visors are easy. Wait until you try the upper a-arm spindle bushings!
I soaked them for almost two weeks and still bent the breaker bar!

I believe Liquid Wrench works best, but it does take days, and it is best to
wire brush any dirt/rust off the surface first. I have also been known to
tap the metal parts with a hammer to help.
