Hi Jim,
I assume you're talking about a low windshield car. Folks will need to know
if you're talking flat dash or padded dash to answer this question.
Sorry, but I have no reference point for the flat dash. High windshield is
easy (relatively)... just start unscrewing things. I found fairly easy
access once the radio console was removed and the glove box was out.
Glove box cardboard tends to disintegrate in your hands tho; you may not
want to go that route unless you're ready for a whole new project. My glove
box has been re-created using sheet aluminum and using the original
cardboard pieces as a pattern. It was a lot of work, but very satisfying
results.
