And I agrees with Andy, switch of Outlook. It is easy to use and fairly
stable--just make sure you have all the updates.

Outlook Express (OE) was designed with grandma and her getting occasional email
in mind. I'd recommend upgrading to Outlook. Most of the time it will detect
that you have been using OE and it will ask if you want to migrate to it.
