Rick,
I recently bought a '67-1/2 2000 which has no radio. Until I find an
original, I plan to put something compatible in the car. I searched the
web, and found www.vintagecarradio.com. Talk with Brad at (877) 331-9560.
He's very helpful. They will build a a modern, digital radio AM-FM (no
cassette or CD) which looks analog within certain dimensional parameters.
Turns out their chassis dimensions will work just fine with low-windshield
cars -- both with respect to size and knob spacing. $170.00. I suspect
they can make one for the high-windshield cars, also.
Check them out. I haven't bought one yet, but I intend to.
Gary
