That's correct. The early speedo and tach are about 4 3/4" diameter. The
late instrument clusters are about 4".

I haven't seen an answer to your original question, but then sometimes my
messages from the list arrive several days after they were authored. Even
when it's a "Reply All" like this one.
Unfortunately, no. I believe the speedo and tach in the low-windshield cars
are about an inch in diameter larger than the high-windshield cars.
We'll see if anyone on the list has contrary information.
