I would definitely recommend electronic.  I bought Gary Boone's and it 
stabilized an uneven idle I struggled with for years.  In hindsight, I can 
attribute that to the old distributor.  It also seems to have stronger power 
throughout the RPM band, may be due to change of timing and electronic 
ignition, along with sealing off the smog pump inlet tubes.  Go for it, you 
will not regret it. Dewey
