While trying to remove the engine from the parts car I have run into a stripped
(engine mount) nut. Of course... it is the nut above the rubber part of the
mount, closest to the block and under the carbs.
It looks to me like it has been like that for some time and I am stumped. It
feels like I am getting a good bite with the socket, but I can feel it turning
on the nut.
Any suggestions or is my only option to cut the mount? The frame looks to be
scrap-- the car was wrecked at some point and there is bondo (!?!) covering
frame damage. I would rather not trash the engine mount. HELP
