Thanks to all who replied.
The car has less than 50 miles on it since the head was re-installed last fall
so the water tower came off easy--as did the gaskets. This is why I wondered
about the use of gasket sealer since the gaskets came off so easy and there is
nothing to clean off of the metal surfaces. I also knew to avoid silicone. I
had already bought anit-sieze for the re-install of the water tower.
It seems like everytime I try to search the 311 forum, I don't find what I am
looking for. Then someone will send me the link for exactly what I am asking
about. Sorry again for this.
Now, here is another question:
What do people use for anti freeze- coolant? Any brand work better for our hot
headed lilttle girls? Any brand to avoid? I do know about the 60-40 water to
cooland ratio that is recommended.
TIA
Going to go get dirty now with one of my babies.
