Hey! Is that Dover Ohio?
Is Paul Kort still out there in Ohio?
I agree that two head gaskets on the near bulletproof 1600 point to a
cooling problem that warped the head, or the guy doing the work did not
re-torqe the head after driving a little while with the new gasket. But,
some folks dont have these skills.

As to Gordon's remarks about carpentry.....I agree. My favorite carpentry
tools ares the sawzall and the chain saw and the wreacking bar. I like to
take things apart, and do rough put up a shelf in the garage type carpentry,
but I sure dont like to attempt quality woodwork. Nor do I have the tools
or skills for it.

I love working on machinery though! I actually look forward to the clutch
job on my 96 Miata...the planning, the reading the book, the assembling of
the new parts, etc etc etc. I will probably take a day off work for a mini
'vacation' to do this! When your done, your happy, and the machinery is
happy, and it runs and sounds happy. Carpentry projects dont run well when
done....they just sit there.

Just my philosophical two cents on the subject!
Best Regards,
Jim
