To all within reach of Nashville,
The Lane Motor Museum in Murfreesboro, just outside of Nashville, has
a special Nissan exhibit on loan until June. Here's the announcement
from their newsletter:
Begins January 4, 2007 through June 25, 2007.
Historic Nissan exhibit with vehicles from the Nissan North America
Heritage Collection on display for a limited time. The cars will
document Nissan's rebirth after World War II and the company's entry
into the American market. Featured will be rare examples of a: 1937
Konut roadster, 1958 1000 sedan, 1960 1200 sedan, 1961 Fairlady, 1967
Patrol, 1960 1200 pickup, 1970 1600 roadster, and a 1971 1200 coupe.
The 1967 Patrol was Nissan's first utility vehicle and the
predecessor of a long line of Nissan Sports utility vehicles. The
1961 FairLady could be considered the beginning of Nissan's sports
car legacy.
I've been to the Lane Museum while visiting Nashville on business and
it is one impressive collection of unusual cars from all over the
world. I particularly like their Tatras and early Honda sports cars.
So if you live in the area or will be in the area for any reason,
take a look at this special Nissan exhibit.
