Some corrections. Not meant to upset anyone, just to clarify
the information :-)

There are two different water pumps, with the cutover being on
the '68 cars at about engine no R58000. The later engines were
designed to eliminate the fan clutch by adding a 1 inch spacer
block behind the pump.

I believe the breakover is at R40000.

The head is totally different, but many other parts do indeed interchange.
A helpful forklift guy here is an asset, many places apparently don't
want to help if it isn't a forklift you're talking about :-)

Look on the frame, on the top surface behind the steering gear (LH
cars). The real VIN is stamped there, usually under a layer of grease
and gunk.

Many, many Roadsters have an engine that isn't original. So it is
very likely that a '68 frame may have a '67 engine in it - or any other
combination!
