Grassroots Motorsports is an excellent rag for those wanting to dip your feet
into auto restoration/collection, autox or racing in general. There is also
several DIY articles and great tips and how-to's. Killer technical articles
too.Every issue there is a 'vintage views' article that details a certain model
of interest, giving current pricing, buying tips and quirks of each featured
car. It was this article about 6 years ago that got me interested in the
Roadsters (they even told me about the brake brace and expensive ball joints)
and I found one in about 4 months. The group also publishes Classic
Motorsports which has also featured roadsters and other Datsunabilia. Great
mags, wish they published weekly. ;) Check out the main website for forums and
other geeky car stuff. Every year they sponsor a $2006 challenge where
competitors bring cars built for 2006 bucks or less (each year you get an extra
$1) to compete in an autox, drag race, and concours. Anyone want to build a
Frankenroadster???????
Sorry for the length, just my favorite mag, and the reason I have found myself
reading ancient digest formats like majordomo to learn more about my 'cute and
adorable' roadster.
