One problem was that the solex setup could be added as a dealer option. New  
tag and all. So factory records would still not be accurate. Of course that  
brings up the question, original as it left the factory or as it drove off the  
dealer lot. Ask someone with a "100% factory original" car where the plastic  
seat covers and all the other shipping protection that the dealer takes off 
and  throws away are if it's so darn original as it came from the factory.

very animated conversations. Even the VIN tags didn't always  show 150 hp,
although some did.
