Funny you should mention that. The Elise is the first new car I've seen
in over 20 yrs that I got any bit of hots for. So just last week I found
the Lotus dealership in Denver, and swung in just to see if they had one.
They did, so I begged 'em to let me see if I could figure out how to get
in it :) . They did, and after a number of failed attempts, the salesman
kindly showed me about the one and only way a +6 footer could. Once in,
it was drool overload! It fit like a glove. Cool thing too, the salesman
has raced and autoXed that car! I guess I'm used to Chevy/Ford/Nissan/Toy
salesmen that couldn't find their butt with both hands and a mirror, let
alone know any basics about the car(s) their selling, and here this guy
was telling me how the thing REALLY handled.
I got over it. Barely. For now. I could have a fleet of Datsun's for
the price of one of those.
