Hi Pete, How about this...All my 1600 needles are M-39's. I ran these with a
recurved distributor in a 68 1600. I'm not sure if they are pre-pollution or
which model they were intended for. All I know is that's what they are stamped
with, even though they have different tips on them. One set is blunt and the
other ones are pointed. Not sure which ones would be better for your use.
   Other words even though they have the same stamp # they still may differ
from brand to brand.
