Gentlemen,
In the process of reassembling my engine, I found the endplay on the jackshaft
is about 1/4" or greater. The plate that goes over the end will not keep it
from floating back and forth. I had my engine shop replace the jackshaft
bearings and am wondering if they did something wrong. What limits the depth of
jackshaft engagement?

I am concerned that if I just go ahead and assemble as is, the jackshaft will
float back and forth, and change the distributer timing as it does.

Also, while I'm at it, I am in need of the star washers that go under the
jackshaft endplate screws as well as the short countersunk #3 phillips screws
that hold the upper chain guide on. Does anybody know if these are still
available from Nissan?
Thanks for your help
