Greetings,
Just curious to know if anyone is on the list that drives a white
roadster around China Lake, CA? Couldn't believe my eyes -- 104 degs
and top-downing it?? Whew! I'll be out there again Weds, so if you're
reading this, give me a buzz and we can hook up! (I want to know how
you keep from blistering your gut strapping the seat belt on in those
temps!).
Oddly enough, I saw aNOTHER roadster on my way out! At DIA (Denver
Intern'l Airport), saw a blue '69 2L. NICE. Brave soul too! Parked at
DIA with just a tonneau cover on. Wheels were an interesting snowflake
kinda pattern, which I didn't recognize as a local WyCROCer. Anyone?
While I'm blathering, I thought I'd mention a point on clutch hydraulics.
I've been fighting my clutch hydraulics for about 2 yrs now -- they keep
going soft after a short amount of time. I've replaced the slave, master,
and hose. What's left?? Nothing leaks. Well, the general rule that "if
fluid is up, but can't keep pressure, and nothing leaks, it's the master",
may apply MOST of the time, but after several masters, I re-replaced the
slave, and voila! Fixed! In fact, I think the slave was a POS the day I
put it in - I don't know how since it never leaked, but it sure works
great now! (it was a Beck Arnley slave).
