I imagine the logic is the hope/dream that no one will bid it up to the
Buy It Now price.  It makes sense, but rarely happens.

If you want, you can set up auctions as Buy it Now only.  You get the
price you wanted and only the price you wanted.

I know a lot of us sell stuff we don't need on Ebay, to try and help
others
get the cars on the road.   I list my stuff with a low starting bid, no
reserve.  Most of the time I put a Buy it now on in case someone needs
it, and
does not want to wait.  I have noticed one person who puts in the
minimum bid
to knock off the BIN and does not bid again.  I did a search by bidder
and see
he does this a lot.  Anyone know what the logic is in that?
