Haven't heard about Dodge using Nissan engines, but International
Harvester did install 6 cylinder Nissan diesels in the Scout II.
I had a '74. The old Scouts would get around 25 mpg vs. about 14
mpg with the 345 V8. The diesels ran forever, but were dogs compared
to the gas motors.

Subject: OT- '74 Dodge 2wd PU factory fitted with Nissan Diesel engine
????????
talked to a guy this evening who has a '74 Dodge pickup for sale that he
swears has a factory installed Nissan Diesel engine. it's a fullsize pickup,
he worked for a Dodge dealer for years and said in a period of around 20
years he only ever saw 2 more of these trucks. anyone ever heard of such a
beast? he said they were very limited production and probably only that one
year. was probably a dog....
Thanks for any info,
