A couple of weeks ago I unsubscribed from the list to move
fransfancies.com to a new hosting service, which I rent unlimited
hosting privileges from. It seemed better than paying another host.
For some reason still to be explained fransfancies.com has not
responded to the new nameserver addresses. Another set of addresses
was put in place today, so we will see what happens now.
I had a fairly difficult time getting another e-mail address going
both on the roadster list, and the embroidery list. That was really
frustrating, but both finally came to life.
I had a great day today. The roadster list came to life, and I got to
spend a WHOLE DAY working on the roadster. A while back I cut out the
rusted fender mounting area just ahead of the left door. Today I cut
a sheet of metal out of a Contour hood and started fitting sheet metal
panel to fill the hole. After measuring, drilling, and welding in new
captive nuts to hold the bottom of the fender I tacked the new panel
to the body of the car. Now to figure out how to get Waxoil into the
area under the rocker panel through a hole I drilled in a panel across
the front of the rocker panel. I think it was too cold to spray
properly. Once the Waxoil is in the rocker pane I can start slowly
heating, bending, and welding the replacement panel into place. If
all goes well I I can coat everything with POR-15 and soon I will have
a new left fender on the car. Then I can start the whole process over
again on the right side.
