Sometimes you just need to tell a 'white' lie. On a rally I participated in
a fellow club member's car was hit and he just told the insurance company he
was out for a ride which was true. He just didn't mention it was during a
rally.

BTW, it was hit by a bicycle rider participating in a race. You can't
believe how much damage was caused by the bicycle. The rider went through a
red light and broadsided his car and then had the nerve to sue the driver.
