Well, I replaced my carbs with the old ones and my sticking carb problem was
solved. I'm glad I didn't touch any of the old settings as when I dropped
them in it was like I never took them off.
NOW, when I went to park my car after taking it for a 'victory spin' and put
on the Hand Brake that wouldn't work :(
I took out the seat and ripped out the hand brake unit. I thought it would
be a snap to fix it but this hasn't been the case. I played and played with
it but it still doesn't work correctly. I don't know why as when I looked in
the parts book nothing seems to be broken. And it's not like I never
disassembled and assembled it before.
That being said, does anyone have an unwanted handbrake assembly for a low
windshield car?
I guess it's my MGB giving me pay back for being so smug when I bragged to
someone yesterday how well my handbrake worked in my Datsun as compared to
those in MGBs. FWIW, MGBs have a very complicated setup and they rarely work
well - if at all.
