That wouldn't be my longest drive by time or miles. Drove back from Shasta
this year via Lake Tahoe stopping for gas every 150-200 miles (seven times),
not ax actually the direct route. I didn't leave till after the group picture
so I didn't get home at 3:30 am. I made it to Bakersfield at about Midnight,
just starting to cool down. Decided to hit it and took 5 the rest of the way.
Went up the grape vine following a S class Mercedes I had been pacing down the
valley at 100 plus, but he lost me when I chicken out (slowed down for one of
the curves going UP the hill).
