Hello all,
Pulled the head off of my 66 1600 today. It's an iron one that I did a
fair amount of work on a few years ago. I used the original style valve seals
so it's burned oil from day one. Also, I had them knurl the guides rather
than replace them. The exhaust valves kept getting tight so I knew something
was going away. Valve seats were way recessed. Going to do all new valves,
guides and hard seats. Turns out the guide seals from the 240Z will work,
picked some up on e-bay. Good news is that it is perfectly straight so I
don't have to mill it any. Hope to have it all back together in time for
Shasta.
