Hi David,
according to the wiring diagram there are 2 speedo lamps (2 x 3W)
wired in Red with Blue tracer.
>From what I can tell, they bridge the lamp holders at the rear of the
speedo so this may be the wire you are refering to.
If it is a Red/Blue it sounds like it has pulled out of the second
lamp holder.
Good to hear you from Craig H, take care young fella.
Regards,
Graeme Suckling

Subject: question on speedo wiring
Hi all,
I just finished replacing most of the burned up wiring in my 68
2000. I
have one wire which I cannot figure out where it splices into. Off of
the
wire which powers the speedo bulb is a short wire which I accidentally
pulled
from some other connection. It looks like it was spliced into some
other
wire but I cannot figure out where. The hanging wire has power
running
through it. Does anyone know what this wire should be attached to?
The
speedo bulb is working as well as the high beam bulb. I am not sure
if the
dimmer switch is working. Does this wire have something to do with
the
dimmer switch?
Thanks,
David
