They made a "facelift" in 1987. If it's the square/early type
it's got a Borg & Warner T5 gearbox (like 280 ZX). The
output housing is different between 280 and 300 so the
propshaft will not fit. The T5 usually loose 3:rd gear when
something goes wrong. The rounder/late type 300ZX turbo
use the same box as 200SX (240 SX) S13. A stronger box.
Electrical problems seems to be the most common on Z31.
Also rust depending on where you live.
