I think most of my panels are made of thin Masonite, like 1/8 inch or 
thereabouts.  The door panels have a formed part that follow a curve, 
but it's not a compound curve so you have some options on making them 
fit.  ABS of a similar thickness would be a more expensive, but more 
water-proof solution, don't know about acoustics.  (I bought door 
panels 10 years ago , and made the rear panels.  The panels behind 
the door are flat, I think, so no problem there.  A trip to Home 
Depot , some 1/8 masonite panels, and a bulk pack of saber saw 
blades, and you're in bizniss.  I'll be recreating panels on my truck 
at some point...
