Its coming. Just around the corner
Will havoc be unleashed
Will we all run for cover, or
Will cooler heads reign and prevail
What will the New Year entail
Will we make promises we cant or wont keep
Will some seek freedom from abuse or oppression
Will some remain in the status quo
So many choices, so many voices
Screaming out for change
Whether physical- I need to lose weight
Whether Mental- Ill finally seek help
Whether Emotional- I will let go of the past
Whether Spiritual- Ill talk to God again
Yearning for happiness, love and relief
Come the first, you can wipe the slate clean
A chance for renewal should you choose
So my wish for you is simple but true
