Daniel,
The Nissan/Hitachi electronic distributors from approx. 1979-82 year models can
be retrofitted to the earlier L series engines, both 4 and 6 cylinders. It's
much easier than building one for a roadster engine. In some cases, the L
series
dizzy retrofits need to be recurved.
If you're running an MSD CD system, it's not necessarily required to use the
Nissan EI coil. I'll need more info on your Bosch coil to know if it's ideally
compatible with your MSD system, but both MSD systems and stand-alone electronic
ignition systems typically work best with a coil having a low primary resistance
(1 ohm or less).
