Hi all,
Guys, I recently visited a classic car restorer (needed to get a quote on
getting my drivers side guard fixed - I'll regale you all with the story
once it's done) who owns a *very* nice Austin Healey 3000 "works rally"
replica. Fully race prepped. Anyway, he used the base of the original
drivers seat, together with the back part of a Subaru WRX seat. Very body
hugging, and has the loop at about shoulder height for a race harness. Best
part was, he'd had it re-trimmed in the same vinyl as the base - I literally
didn't notice that it wasn't standard until I sat in it! Very nicely done,
and he keeps the original seat height (a must in a Healey, I can tell you!).
Cheers,
Steve
