I have seen the same problem with mine, they were flaking when first 
installed. I am not going to sweat it too much, just glad to have it working, 
but if it gets worse, I will send them back too. In fact, you need to be 
careful, as whem I loosened them by hand to remove, a sliver of chrome went 
in me finger and bled quite alot. sniff....
