Hello all,
Sounds like the latest gathering was a blast. I really enjoyed the pics that
were posted!
I have a couple of questions on the SU's for my 1600. First, on the SU
Rebuilding 101 page it states that the when the chokes are closed they seal
with o-rings. Neither of my carbs had any o-rings whatsoever on them. Is
there supposed to be one there?
Secondly, there is a screw with a very large round (thumb-screw like) head
next to the mixture adjustment on the bottom of the carb. It is held in the
carb body with a lock nut. It is pretty visible in the top picture on this
page

The only thing it looks like it does is ram into the bolt that holds the
float bowl on. Does this thing have a purpose?
Best Regards,
