I too have a Grant wheel on my car. The horn developed a problem where
the horn would not work with the wheels pointing straight ahead. Turns out
that the horn brush rubbs on a thin circuit board and the copper had worn
through where the brush usually rode. I stripped the copper off and
replaced it with a thin (~0.016") thick sheet of brass. That has held up
for about 2 years so far.
