The lock is held to the steering column with 4 bolts that have no slot or
flats on them to get them out. When thew were installed they had
extensions on them that twist off under torque. There are two ways that I
have used to get them out. One is to use a cold chisle on them, using the
chisle to turn the bolt heads. The other is to use a moto tool, or other
grinder to cut a slot in each bolt head, then use a screwdriver bit to
back them out. The correct bolts should still be available from the
dealer, or you can just thread in some standard bolts or screws, but this
just makes it easier for someone to remove the column lock.
