early 67 door catch / striker

I am in process of getting ready to pull the body on my early 67 1600, an
planned to leave the doors on, closed during the body removal. The passenger
door closes, and latches smooth to the body.  The drivers door closes flush,
then opens slightly to the first catch.  I have moved the catch on the body
around to see if I can get second catch.

Is it the door side catch that is causing the problem?
