Roman,
I know that guys like trying mods with their cars. Anything to improve
performance,
vehicle stability, cosmetic improvements. But you go doing something that
can possibly
get yourself BLOWN UP, and I won't make you cookies or cook dinner for you
anymore.
'Cause you'll be dead and buried. And I don't like losing friends."Nuf said.

Subject: Auxilary gas tank?
hello,
here is something I've been pondering. My 70 1600 has all the smog
stuff removed. only things left are smog needles on the carbs and the
vapor recovery tank in the trunk.
Here's what I'm thinking. Looks like that "extra tank" could hold a
gallon of gas. Install a motorcyle "petcock valve" where the line goes
down to the regular tank, install a non vented filler cap on the little
tank, and fill it up. If you run out of gas, turn on the valve and
gravity feeds enough gas into the main tank to get you to a gas
station.
Or, run it through an elctric fuel pump and have it go straight to the
carbs. This way if you ran out of gas you wouldn't even have to get out
of the car, just flick the switch to turn on the pump and you are back
on your way. having run out of gas before, I think it is a great idea!
Any thoughts on this??
thanks,
Roman
