Vinyl. There are a number of good vinyl preservatives on the market. Just
about everyone has their own favorite.

The radio speaker is mounted above the kick space on the passenger side. It
is a black wrinkle paint, surface mounted box. Look closely as it is dark up
there!

Good question. It is a manual throttle control the purpose of which escapes
me. Some people use if as a manual fast idle for warm up. However, if your
carbs are adjusted correctly, the throttle plates open with the choke to
accomplish this task.

It is a mechanical tach with a cable connected to the distributor. Disconnect
the cable from the tach (PIA!!) and make sure it is turning while the engine
is running. This will determine if it is the tach head or something in the
cable/dist.

Hot clearance .017"

16 degrees @ 600 (non smog) 0 degrees @ 750 (smog)

.018 - .022" / 49 - 55 degrees dwell angle

.032"

The above numbers came out of the book. Those familiar with fine tuning
R-16's might have better information.
