Greetings,

Rear end: I'm getting a pretty good whine out of my rear end above 35
mph. Don't think it's u-joints -- at least every other car I've owned,
u-joints vibrate when they're going. No vibration, just whine. Any idea's
what a rebuilt or (preferably) used 2L rear end would cost? Is it a
reasonable idea to have it rebuilt locally? Leaning towards used/swap;
my torsion bar bracket is not attached to the axle! While it makes for a
nice ride for long trips, I doubt if it's a good thing to have it banging
the axle on bumps..

Archives: what's going on with the archives? I used to get 'em from
www.listquest.com or www.escribe.com, and they both seem to be gone!
www.team.net/www/archives.html doesn't seem to have any roadster stuff
there.. Cripes, if we don't have ANY archives any more, maybe I'll see
if our web host will let me build them on our website.. If so, anybody
know where I can GET (all) the history/archives/digests?
If I had archives:

Gauge: working on a buddy's roadster. Fuel gauge stuck on Full, Temp
gauge intermittent, usually Cold. Seems like somebody once upon a time
mentioned a resistor between the 2 that could fail? Could I get more
info on it, like WHERE IS IT?! And what's the replacement spec?

thanks,
