Bob is right. Leave em off and you'd give a whole new neaning to 'body
roll'!
I suppose you could use big washers and nuts to hold the body bolts
down, but like everything else on these cars, I'd worry about having
things vibrate loose (don't ask me how I know about this!). At least
with the clips, the nut is welded on.
