Hello again,
Last night I finally hooked up with another Roadster
owner here in Albuquerque. I own a 67.5 1600, so I'm
not to familier with some of the later model stuff on
his 70 1600.
- It looks like the vacuum line from the distributer to the
carb has been disconnected. The metal line from the distributer
is there, but there's no rubber hose going to the carb. On the
carb side, it's got a rubber plug over the nipple. Can I assume
that this should be corrected?
- What's that round black sensor-looking piece in between the two SUs, on
the intake manifold? It looks like it should have a vacuum line
hooked onto it's nipple also. Where should this line be coming from?
I've been trying to find another local Roadster owner for a couple of
years. This guy, Mike, found the WyCroc website, and sent an email off
to Eric?, who forwarded it to me. Looks like I have someone to go cruising
with.
He bought his Roadster from Mike Young in California. It's got a pretty
nice
paint job, that creamy yellow color, real nice stereo, original upholstery,
which is in nice shape, pretty nice car. I'm going to help him do some
tune-up
work next weekend (Plugs, Points, Rotor, Cap, Oil Filter, Unisyn, Colortune)
and
inspect his brakes.
I gotta put some more time into our ZIAROC website, so we can hook up with
more NM owners out there.
