I went to Rennsport @ Lime Rock where the Porsche factory allowed some of
their very expensive historic racers race. They intend to do it again.
I hope Nissan does the same.
Compared to some of those Porshe race cars the Datsun is chump change and
some were injured worse than Morton's car. I thought the racing would be
like a typical vintage event where you can't pass here and you can't pass
there BUT it wasn't like that at all and it surprised many of us in the
crowd. Those guys went for it!
Paul Newman seriously damaged a Brumos 914-6 he was driving when someone in
front of him spun. Paul demolished that car too. It wasn't his fault as he
had no place to go.
Hey, that's racing. That's why I sit in the cheap seats - the grand stand.
