Just an idea after thinking for a few moments...
A nice place to hold a gathering near the Sacramento area would be Coloma,
CA. It is in the hills about 40 miles east of Sacramento near Placerville,
CA. It is where Sutter's mill is located; where gold was first discovered
in CA causing the Gold Rush of 1849.
It is on Highway 49. There is a very green, lush, shady little park there
with parking for about 40 or more cars. There is camping nearby and
hotels/motels in and near Placerville on Highway 50 for those from out of
town. There are many great, twisty mountain roads in the surrounding area
that have always been a favorite of mine in the Roadster or on my
motorcycle.
Something that close to Mike Kerr might even prompt him to pull his turbo
U20 out of his garage...
I have no idea what kind of preparations would need to be made with the park
service since that is a state park, but I'm sure someone out there could
tell me.
Just an idea to kick around the list and see.
