Mark,
Except for Dave's 1500 that was one of the only 1500s to appear in all the
years I've been going, and I've been going since 87, the year of the first
meet. Usually only 1 shows up.
Mike was the original organizer of the event and the only thing he is "in
charge" of is the car show and the voting. He felt it was a sham last year
as a beatup 67.5 2L won an award and felt it did an injustice to all of
those who worked hard on their cars. Several people agreed and he
"volunteered" to be in charge of the show. Nobody annoited him "king" and
Mike is not like that anyway. He'll go way out of his way to help anyone
out. He's one of the good guys.
I'm sure they'll give 1500s a trophy if more than one shows up - at the same
time.
Mike
