Plastic wire mount on distributor

In running through the oil-pump priming sequence, I found that the
plastic is stripped where the small wire attaches to the distributor
body (also electrically connects to the internal wire, there).

1.  What are these two wires?
2.  How might I fix the problem?  (Right now the connection is
very poor - it will easily vibrate loose).
