Dave,
I've just been priming my engine. You should not have to spin the drill
that fast to get oil coming out of the cam lobes. I had a piece of junk
in the top chain tensioner which prevented the build up of pressure.
When I took off the tensioner the oil pumped out easily from the front
of the engine and none come out of the cams.
I would not start the engine until a good flow of oil reaches everywhere.
