The motor mounts are loosened from the bottom. If they are in bad shape just
pull the motor w/o unfastening them. The weight of the frame will rip them
apart. Sacrilage? Not really and they are a PITA to remove if they haven't
been removed since the car was built and the rubber is probably dried up or
softened from the heat and oil. I have seen plenty of cars with unusable
mounts.
