Les and I have run into this problem with our 2.5 Trans Am cars and are having
Lexan windshields made. Actually we are going to try acrylic first as it is
cheaper and more scratch resistant. We are also making rear 1/4 windows and a
rear window in acrylic. Les plans to offer the items for sale in both Lexan and
acrylic (unless we decide the acrylic won't work for the windshield) once we get
them tested. At this point glass for the windshield is just too hard to find for
use on a race car.
